Porsche is a unique brand that managed to build its reputation as a highly competitive car builder that manufactures powerful autos with great performance on a single sports car, the model Porsche 911. Porsche 911 did not declare itself a winner in the world of racing and high speed but over the time Porsche became one of the most reputable brands in the world. Porsche is known for the high level of performance of its cars and Porsche enthusiasts often claim that the only true Porsche is Porsche 911.
The first Porsche 911 appeared in 1960s. Initially Porsches shared basic features with VW Beetle but as its power increased the need for improved engine arose. Porsche 911 was much speedier and the features were to be seriously modified.
Today 15 Porsche 911 models are available. The most common models of the current Porsche 911 are the Carrera and Carrera S. The models marked with 4 after Carrera refer to the all-wheel drive versions. Carrera and Carrera S are further broken down into the following models:

The current Porsche 911 update was possible due to the introduction of the following features different from that of the past 911 editions:

- Larger tires

The current 911 Porsches debuted in 2005 and did not undergo serious redesign since then. However the Turbo, GT3 and GT2 models reappeared later with some updates that differentiate them from the cars of the previous generation. The Targa, GT3, Turbo emerged in 2007 and the GT2 followed in 2008.
